La foire, qui profite d'un espace plus vaste et d'une circulation plus fluide, affiche des prix éclectiques.
The fair, which benefits from a larger space and smoother circulation, features eclectic prices.
The grand global fair of still images has made a successful return to the Grand Palais in Paris, with a space increased tenfold (21,000 square meters compared to 16,000 before the building's restoration), where movement has become significantly more fluid in the aisles, with new open areas on the upper floor.
The 2024 edition is particularly notable for the significant presence of modest-sized classic black and white works, following years of color dominance, as well as contemporary art in very large formats.
Throughout the fair, numerous photographs by Robert Frank (1924-2019) are displayed, celebrating the centenary of his birth on Saturday, November 9—Pace Gallery showcases portraits of artists such as Allen Ginsberg, Willem de Kooning, and Jack Kerouac taken by the photographer. Several gallery owners also dedicate their stands to photojournalists: Gilles Caron (1939-1970) at Anne-Laure Buffard Gallery, featuring some rare period prints, and the Spaniard Ramon Masats (1931-2024) at Alta Gallery.
