Around the most important fair dedicated to photography – which has just resumed its place at the Grand Palais – galleries, fairs, and exhibitions celebrate, throughout this month of November, the world in large format. In search of truth but always with delicacy and humor.
RAMÓN MASATS, EXTENSION
He is undoubtedly the greatest unknown Spanish photographer. This Catalan, who passed away last March, was not really destined for photography. His parents wanted him to take over the family fish market; then, to earn a living in Madrid, he became a documentary filmmaker for television.
Michelle Ferrara from Galeria Alta (Andorra), who presents this image titled **Seminar** (1960) at Paris Photo, reveals that this "eye of the last century practiced his art for only eleven years!" Specialist David Campany considers that this "gentle and empathetic artist had found a way to make the ephemeral eternal."
