Radiant Masats
Alta, the gallery located in Andorra that has already exhibited unseen material from photographers in the pantheon such as Vivian Maier, Sarah Moon, or Joel Meyerowitz, has scheduled one of the first international exhibitions of the photographer from Caldes de Montbui, Ramon Masats, National Photography Award winner, who passed away last March.
The exhibition showcases some of his most celebrated photographs, so famous that they have taken on a life of their own and are better known than their author.
The trajectory of the brilliant Masats has not had much international exposure and is now beginning to take off, like the children in the swing photo titled "Terrassa, 1953," who want to break out of orbit.
In rigorous and splendid black and white, the gallery presents a collection of images from humble and more elegant places, snapshots in which everyday life and anonymous faces are combined with luminaries such as film director Luis Buñuel, actress Jane Russell, or Yves Saint Laurent.
